Customer Service Representative

About the Role

Careerscape is partnering with a fast-growing consumer brand to hire a Remote Customer Service Representative (Work From Home) for their U.S.-based, fully distributed team. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-minded professional who loves helping customers, solving problems, and being part of a supportive, people-first team — all from the comfort of your home.


As a Customer Service Rep, you'll be the friendly first point of contact for customers across phone, email, and live chat. You'll answer questions, resolve issues, process orders and returns, and make sure every customer walks away feeling heard, valued, and taken care of.

Compensation

Base salary: $55,000 – $72,000, commensurate with experience

Quarterly performance bonus: up to $2,000 per quarter based on CSAT and ticket metrics

Estimated total compensation: $63,000 – $80,000+ on-target

Annual reviews with merit-based raises


What You'll Do

Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat in a timely, friendly, and professional manner

Resolve customer issues related to orders, billing, returns, shipping, refunds, and general account questions

Document all customer interactions accurately in the CRM (Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, Intercom, or Freshdesk)

Process order changes, cancellations, and replacements with care and attention to detail

Escalate complex issues to senior team members or specialty teams when appropriate

Identify recurring customer pain points and share insights with product, operations, and leadership

Meet or exceed individual and team KPIs, including response time, resolution rate, and CSAT

Stay current on product updates, promotions, and policies to provide accurate, helpful information

Contribute to knowledge base articles, FAQs, and process improvements

Support new hire training and team initiatives as you grow in the role


What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent (no college degree required)

1+ years of customer service, customer support, retail, hospitality, or call center experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and empathetic under pressure

Comfortable using CRM platforms, helpdesk software, and standard tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office)

Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated home workspace

Availability to work flexible shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends

Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a fully remote setting


Nice to Have

2+ years of experience in a remote customer service or work-from-home role

Hands-on experience with Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, Intercom, Freshdesk, or HubSpot Service Hub

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus and may qualify for additional pay

Experience supporting e-commerce, SaaS, subscription, or DTC products

Familiarity with order management systems (Shopify, NetSuite, etc.)
